Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known Ashanti. Ashanti was birthed on the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. Ashanti is an United States singer, songwriter, and actor. Ashanti became famous as a teenager and eventually became signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. The same year, she was featured in the Fat Joe's What's Luv? The singer also featured on Fat Joe's song"What's Luv!" and the Ja Rules' track Always on Time, both of which became huge hit songs. In the case of Foolish and What's Luv being at number one, she became the first woman to record two songs that were in the Billboard Hot 100 chart top ten from the United States. The 16th of October Hey Baby (After the Club) was released to stations and digital platforms. The actress also appeared in films Christmas in the City, Army Wives and Latasha Monteclair.
